CApIC-ACE 2nd High-Performance Computing Workshop Theme: Advanced High Performance Computing

Introduction

The Covenant University CApIC-ACE in partnership with Inria (the French national research institute for digital sciences) and AFD (Agency for French Development) is organizing a two weeks workshop on High-Performance Computing. The workshop aims at bringing system administrators, research students, postdocs and ICT practitioners who currently have foundational knowledge of High-Performance Computing (HPC) to learn state-of-the-art technology in advanced HPC administration, HPC programming and Machine Learning on HPC. It is expected that the knowledge garnered from the workshop will drive efficiency and maximize competence in HPC technology in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Venue: Covenant University, Km 10 Idiroko Road Canaan Land Ota, Nigeria and Online.

Proposed Date for the Workshop: 20th March - 31th March, 2023

Day7 Configure users environment (Lmod, slurm jobs, etc)
Deploying a full monitoring stack (Prometheus ecosystem + Grafana)
Day8 Deep Dive HPC Storage
Machine Learning on HPC Platforms (GPU/Multicore CPU) with Python
