Samuel K. T. Owusu-Ansah is currently a beneficiary of the Covenant Applied Informatics and Communication Africa Centre of Excellence (CApIC-ACE) Scholarship hosted at Covenant University, pursuing MSc. Bioinformatics. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. Prior to moving to Covenant University in 2022, Samuel worked in various capacities at the Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research - Crop Research Institute (CSIR-CRI), Ghana and at the Biotechnology Unit of the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, KNUST - Kumasi where he served as a Research and Teaching Assistant. Towards making relevant contributions to the development of Science and to Africa's development, Samuel remains committed to negotiating the switch from an agricultural background to the budding field of bioinformatics in health research. At Covenant University, he is keen to build the necessary skills required to make relevant scientific contributions towards elimination of regional diseases. Within the next 15 years, Samuel aspires to rise to the rank of Professor while establishing himself as a serial entrepreneur.
